Fuck ICE
Expanse is based in the Minneapolis metro area in Minnesota. To say our community is being negatively affected by the federal occupation of our cities is a gross understatement of the ongoing trauma the government is inflicting on our neighbors. Plus-size activewear isn’t going to save the city or our democracy, but we still have to do our part. So. For every Expanse item purchased in February, we’ll donate $20 to one of the many local organizations supporting our neighbors. We’ll provide receipts at the end of the month.
Received, Sorted, and Ready To Ship
Everything arrived safely this past week! All pre-sale orders have been packed and will head to the post office on Monday! Pre-sale pricing ends today, so get your orders in ASAP if you want to take advantage of the 20% discount!
We did identify an issue with the Ember leggings and shorts when trying them on. Despite being made from the exact same, 250gsm fabric we use on all our products, the color is so incredibly vibrant that anything other than skin tone underwear quickly becomes obvious when bending/squatting. Which. Super sucks because we thought we tested adequately before we placed our bulk order. Lesson learned, I guess. As a result, we emailed everyone who placed pre-orders for bottoms in the Ember color with a few options to remedy the situation, and we will make note of this in the product description for any future orders.
They’re Almost Here
As of today, 17 boxes of product are on their way to Minnesota from Sacramento. The master tracking number says they are expected to arrive on the 27th, but if last time is any indication, the boxes may end up split up and be delivered over a day or three. Now that we’ve got a relatively solid timeline, I’m going to go ahead and make the call: the last day to purchase any new Expanse products at pre-sale prices will be January 31st.
Leaving On a Jet Plane
The quality checks are complete! Our product should be getting on a plane headed for the US shortly, if it hasn’t already. Once it arrives, I will reach out immediately to the shipper to determine the status of the ground transport to me. This step is a lesson I learned a year ago—previously I let it sit in port for over a week before I called to find out what was going on, but magically within a day of me checking in, the product was suddenly on the move. Go figure. Even if that trick doesn’t work this time around, though, we’re still on target to get the product early-middle February and begin shipping shortly thereafter!
Production Complete
The next batch of Expanse product is done! Our new bras and shorts and the new colors of leggings are now actively going through quality control at the factory. We expect that they’ll be ready for shipment to us by early next week!
